Background

Lawrence M. Trombetta, a versatile artist, was born in Marlboro, Massachusetts, USA. His creative journey took him through various stages: from studying at the Swain School of Design in New Bedford and earning his Bachelor of Fine Arts to embarking on a study trip to Europe.


He worked as a tree surgeon and landscaper in Barnstable, Cape Cod, Massachusetts. He served as a gardener at Villa Massenzia in Rome, Italy. Subsequently, he lived and worked in Montalcino, Tuscany.


He managed the “Sofa” restaurant in Dorfen Germany, while also pursuing painting, craftsmanship, and decoration in and around Munich. His artistic journey culminated at the Bavarian State Opera, where he worked as a painter in the Malersaal.


Lawrence Trombetta is not only a painter but also a thinker who infuses his diverse experiences and impressions into his art. His works undoubtedly reflect the multifaceted nature of his life’s journey.
